Learning experience
This five-day, in-person immersion is part of the Microsoft technical readiness strategy.

Learning activities include: 
  • Solution update sessions and direct access to Microsoft engineering experts
  • Daily whiteboard design sessions and hands-on labs
  • Collaborative engagement between Microsoft employees and partners

Together in partnership with Microsoft Engineering, the event content includes foundational and keynote sessions in addition to specialized tracks aligned to the Intelligent Cloud solution areas:

Throughout the week partner attendees will have the opportunity to choose additional hands-on sessions in lieu of select lecture sessions (as space permits).

Azure Infrastructure topics: Compute including Containers, Storage, Networking, ARM, Security and Compliance, and Management Tools

Application Development topics: Service Fabric/Microservices, DevOps, Media Services, Application Services, and Mobile application development.

Data topics: Core Data Platform (Azure Data Services, Mission Critical & Tier 1 Workloads, Lift and Shift operations, competitive migrations), Machine Learning, IoT (IoT solutions).

Attendee profile
The Intelligent Cloud Architect Boot Camp is a level 300-400 advanced technical training.

This event is oriented to those in an architectural role with focus on Azure Infrastructure, Application Development, Data, or Advanced Analytics and Artificial Intelligence workloads at partner organizations, and who have knowledge on Azure workloads, developing code or deploying solutions in the cloud.

This training is NOT appropriate for those with only basic or intermediate knowledge of Azure nor appropriate for those in sales roles.

The following outlines the architect role responsibilities and the experiences required to successfully participate and complete the training. Four tracks are being offered at the Intelligent Cloud Architect Boot Camp. 

Use the guidelines below to determine which track is best for you to attend.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive deployment of customer workloads into Azure and increase their consumption of the platform by providing deployment guidance, supporting development of the customers’ cloud adoption model, and providing appropriate recommendations to overcome blockers.
  • Identify, validate, and grow opportunities to accelerate consumption in customer environments, by driving solution architecture for both Microsoft and 3rd party solutions.
  • Design, implement, manage or support solutions in customer environments by providing deep technical expertise in one of the following areas of specialization: Datacenter Transformation, Custom Applications, Managed Services, and Data and Analytics.

  • Has passed or is close to passing at least one of the Azure technical certification exams (70-533, or 70-535)
  • 5+ years of success in consultative/complex technical sales and deployment projects
  • 5+ years of architecture, design, implementation, and/or support of highly distributed applications (i.e. having an architectural sense for ensuring availability, reliability, etc.)
  • 2+ years of experience in “migrating” on premise workloads to the cloud
  • Technical experience in one or more of the following areas: Application Design, Systems Operations / Management, Database architecture, Virtualization, IP Networking, Storage, IT Security, Linux
  • Working knowledge with AGILE development, SCRUM and Application Lifecycle Management (ALM)
  • Has passed or is close to passing at least one of the Azure technical certification exams (70-532 or 70-535)
  • 5+ years of success in consultative/complex technical sales and deployment projects
  • 5+ years of architecture, design, implementation, and/or support of highly distributed applications (i.e. having an architectural sense for ensuring availability, reliability, etc.)
  • 2+ years of experience in developing applications in the cloud
  • Technical experience in one or more of the following areas: Software design or development, Application Design, Systems Operations / Management, Database architecture, Virtualization, IT Security, Linux
  • Working knowledge with AGILE development, SCRUM and Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) with one or more of the following programming languages: .NET, C++, Java, JSON, PHP, Perl, Python, Ruby on Rails, Pig/Hive
  • Has passed or is close to passing at least one of the Azure /SQL technical certification exams (70-473 or 70-475)
  • 5+ years working with multiple Tier-1 mission-critical customer scenarios and workloads to meet customer needs for performance, scalability, latency and reliability
  • Experience with SQL Server and depth experience with SQL Server relational engine features, such as In-Memory OLTP, Clustered Column Store indexes, Always On Availability
  • Expertise with tools and practices for performance tuning and troubleshooting of SQL Server
  • Experience in working with SQL Server community and or developing white papers, blogs or delivering presentations
  • 5+ years of success in consultative/complex technical sales and deployment projects (where necessary, managing various stakeholder relationships to get consensus on solution/projects)
  • 5+ years of architecture, design, implementation, and/or support of on-premises applications (i.e. having an architectural sense for ensuring availability, reliability, etc.)
  • Knowledge of more than one database, data warehousing and big data
  • (Bots and Cognitive Services) 2+ years in application development with C# and Visual Studio
  • (Bots and Cognitive Services) 5+ years of architecture, design, implementation, and/or support of highly distributed applications (i.e. having an architectural sense for ensuring availability, reliability, etc.)
  • (Bots and Cognitive Services) 2+ years in developing applications in the cloud
  • (Azure Machine Learning) 2+ years building, evaluating, and comparing machine-learning and/or deep-learning models using python
  • (Azure Machine Learning) 2+ years operationalizing predictive models in production workloads on the cloud
           
  
 
  
Registration
The registration fee for this event is USD 1800.00 per attendee for admittance to the Boot Camp.

 Once the registration form is submitted, registrants will receive an acknowledgement that their registration is 'pending approval'. An email confirming or declining approval will be sent within three (3) business days.

Registrants should not make any arrangements for travel until a confirmation email stating the registrant is approved to attend is received.

All registration cancellations must be received in writing via email to Event Support. Cancellations made by April 1, 2018, at 11:59 PM Pacific Time will incur no penalty. Cancellations made after April 1, 2018, at 11:59 PM Pacific Time. will be charged the full registration fee plus applicable taxes.
